>SeaLI

is a minimalist, text-based idle fishing game played entirely through a retro terminal interface.

What starts as a simple loop of typing >fish and >sell steadily expands into a deep progression system. Navigate different locations, catch various species, upgrade your gear, allocate skill points, and invest in properties.

Built from the ground up with Vanilla TypeScript and direct DOM rendering. It blends active command-line inputs with passive progression, ensuring your journey from a single fishing rod to a master angler is both satisfying and completely text-driven.

I really appreciate any feedback :)

Features:

  • CLI-Driven Gameplay: Interact with the world using a robust command parser (>go pond, >shop, >upgrade home).
  • RPG Mechanics: Earn XP, level up, and allocate points into specialized skills.
  • Economic Progression: Sell your catch to upgrade equipment and buy real estate for passive benefits.
  • Rock-Solid Persistence: Automatic, validated local saving with base64 import/export to keep your progress safe.

Planned:

  • NPC interaction
  • Improved fishing
  • Trophies
  • Events
  • Prestige
